My baby girl is six…and in kindergarten…and has just gotten her ears pierced. I am so lucky that she is still “little”…not six going on twenty. That will be next year, I’m sure of it. She still now likes to sneak into my room at night, likes to read me stories and gives me little notes that say “I love you” almost daily. If it doesn’t say that, it’s has lately been a carefully colored picture of a particular angry bird. 🙂
I took some pics of her at the beach a couple weeks ago, and she said that she didn’t like them because she couldn’t see her earrings. (hadn’t pierced them yet..) So we went camping this weekend….technically we stayed in a cabin, but since we roasted marshmallows over a fire that we made out of the beach reporter and some logs….qualifies as camping. And as the sun started to set, the entire area just began to turn yellow. If this place wasn’t 120 miles away, would shoot there all the time. Just amazing. So a few of my sweet girl who gave me 10 minutes….”ok mommy….just 10 minutes….ok?.” Love her…and her little notes.
